St. George's is a part of the Anglican Diocese of Southwell , and has been serving this community as the Parish Church since 1887. Netherfield itself, is situated 3 miles east of Nottingham City centre just off the A612 Colwick Loop Road.

St. George's has been a centre of Anglo- Catholic worship since its early days and continues today to witness to God's love for us, and presence in the Eucharist in a modern catholic style.
